Each month, a different educator in each of our three publications (The West "O," The Midtown "O"; and The Sarpy Sun) will be awarded a Crystal Apple mounted on a marble base that will recognize the individual's commitment to educating the next generation of Omaha Area leaders.

Teachers are selected and submitted for the Crystal Apple Award by administrators in their respective districts and are chosen based on criteria including longevity, commitment and the ability to go above and beyond in the field of education.

An effort will be made to recognize teachers from varying grade levels in both the public and private school systems. Thank you to the Learning Tools, Omaha Beef Football and The Omaha Royals who have contributed to our Crystal Apple Award program.
